Greetings reader, my name is John Millington but i’m sure you know that by now because this site is a portfolio of my work.

Since an early age I have been interested in the visual side of things, from drawing to computer graphics and photography. In high school I discovered how to make computer art and then made my first foray into web design.

At Edge Hill University I studied New Media in which I received a 2:1. I enjoyed the course and learnt Web Design, Flash, Director, E-commerce, Digital Imaging, Typography and Magazine Design.

I code my sites using XHTML and CSS and understand the need for cross-browser compatibility, accessibility search engine optimisation.

I am familiar with Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and Fireworks as well as other programs such as Quark, Adobe Audition and FTP clients, I also pride myself on my ability to learn programs quickly and I believe these abilities will come in handy when websites eventually become holographic and beamed into our minds (this might not happen…)
